New Drag TV Show ‘We’re Here’ is set to debut on HBO

A few of our favorite Drag TV Show ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ queens are coming over to HBO. Former RuPaul’s Drag Race contestants Shangela Laquifa Wadley, Bob the Drag Queen, Eureka O’Hara, will be mentor for young queens. This Drag TV Show is set to debut in spring 2020 on HBO.

Drag TV Show We’re Here, a six-part unscripted series that will show small-town residents across America as they’re recruited and trained to participate in a one-night only drag performance. It was announced by Nina Rosenstein, executive vice president, HBO programming. 

Shangela, Bob the Drag Queen, and Eureka are the stars of We’re Here, where the queens walk into small towns and “inspire and teach their ‘drag daughters’ to step outside their comfort zone for a night of no-holds-barred, full-on drag.” according to HBO.

“Drag is about confidence and self expression,” says Nina Rosenstein in a press statement. “We are so thrilled to showcase the transformative power of the art form with our audience.”

Queen Shangela celebrated the announcement on Instagram, saying “empowering local communities with the magic of drag! It’s Emotional. Theatrical. Oh, it’s gonna be a SHOW!” “Never give up on your dreams y’all. And don’t be afraid to WERQ HARD for what u want! HALLELOO!”
