Popular lesbian TV series The L Word’ is set to return with sequel ‘The L Word: Generation Q’.

The L Word,  Followed the personal & professional lives of a group of bi and lesbian women living in West Hollywood, California. Series ran from 2004 to 2009. and till this day, only successful show dedicated solely to bi and lesbian women.

Upcoming series, ‘The L Word: Generation Q’ reunites viewers with some of the original series ‘The L Word’ stars and also introduces some new faces.

Generation Q picks up ten years after the original series ended. Now three friends nearing the end of their 40s – Bette Porter (Jennifer Beals), about to become the first lesbian mayor of Los Angeles, Shane McCutcheon (Katherine Moennig), and Alice Pieszecki (Leisha Hailey) continuing to live their sexy dramatic queer lives in LA. We’ll also be following the lives of a whole new generation of LGBT characters.

The L Word was known for was sex. Lots and lots of lesbian sex. And the trailer is certainly promising.

This time, bi and lesbian women will be represented in all their diversity.

The eight episodes in the series will premiere Sunday, Dec. 8, on Showtime.
