8 Lesbian and Bi Anti-Heroines and SuperVillains in Comic Books

In our last post we talked about Lesbian and Bi Superheroines. Now we should take one look at Lesbian and Bi Anti-Heroines and SuperVillains too.

An anti-heroine ( or dark heroine ) a female central character in a story, film, or drama who lacks conventional heroic attributes. An anti-heroine does the right thing, but maybe not for the right reasons. For instance, they might save someone from a dangerous situation because it furthers their interests, not because they actually care about helping others.

1. Catwoman ( Selina Kyle ) (bisexual)

Catwoman is bisexual in the DC comics and has had girlfriends in the comics. This heroine was introduced in comic Batman #1 (Spring 1940) and fans speculated about her sexuality for a very long time, In 2015 writer Genevieve Valentine confirmed that she is bisexual.

2. Harley Quinn ( Harleen Frances Quinzel ) (Bisexual)

Harley Quinn is most likely Pansexual. In comics Harley Quinn’s most recognised relationship is with Joker, but her sexuality extends much farther. In some comics she dates her good friend and another anti-heroine Poison Ivy. She first appeared in DC comic The Batman Adventures #12 (September 1993).

3. Poison Ivy ( Pamela Isley ) (Bisexual)

We can say Poison Ivy has a complicated sexuality. Her sexuality is down to her obsessive personality. For example, her obsession with plants is similar to her obsession with Harley Quinn. In the comics, in a parallel universe, Poison Ivy and Harley are married. In the main universe they are more on and off and have a more casual relationship. She first appeared in the DC comic Batman #181 (June 1966)

4. Mystique ( Raven Darkhölme ) (Bisexual)

Mystique first appeared in the Marvel Comic book Ms. Marvel #16 (April 1978). Blue skinned, yellow eyed character has fluid sexuality and gender. In many comics mystique and Destiny was couple.

5. Destiny ( Irene Adler )

Destiny first appeared in the Marvel Comic book Uncanny X-Men #141 (January 1981). Although blind, Destiny is a mutant precognitive able to accurately predict future events. Destiny and mystique are life partner in comics.

6. Nyssa Raatko (Nyssa al Ghul) (Bisexual)

She first appeared in the DC comic Detective Comics #783 (August, 2003). In comics she is an enemy of Batman. She is the daughter of Ra’s al Ghul.

7. Scandal Savage

She first appeared in the DC comic Villains United #1. She is the daughter of Vandal Savage and a member of the Secret Six. In comic she is in relationship with Knockout ( Kay ), another anti-heroine in DC comics.

8. Knockout ( Kay ) (Bisexual)

She first appeared in DC comic Superboy (vol. 3) #1 (February 1994). In comic she is in relationship with Scandal Savage.
