‘Jazell Barbie Royale’ from USA Won Miss International Queen 2019

This year American Trans beauty ‘Jazell Barbie Royale’ won ‘Miss International Queen 2019’ held in Thailand. and she became the first person of colour to win the competition since it started in 2004.

Miss International Queen is the world’s beauty pageant for transgender women. It is held annually in Pattaya City, Thailand since 2004. The theme for this year’s contest was ‘World Equality’ and from across the World 19 contestants competed for the crown.

Jazell Barbie Royale spread her arms in victory with tears in her eyes when news of the victory was announced.

Back home in the USA ‘Jazell Barbie Royale’ is a community leader and HIV activist. Upon her victory She said she hopes her victory inspires other trans people of colour around the world to compete in the competition. who might say “if she can do it, I’m coming to Miss International Queen next year and I’m going to compete.”

Royale said she wanted to use her newfound platform to raise awareness over HIV testing, safe sex and medical care. She Said, “There are a many living with HIV but don’t go to get treatment.”

In an interview She was asked what she’d like to do if she won the pageant. She said she wanted to be a representative for trans equality, particularly to those who are not educated about trans issues.

She said: “I want them to see that we are beautiful, we are educated, we are talented and we can manoeuvre in society just like everyone else.”

We congratulate her and we wish her all the best in her future endeavour.
