‘Human Ken doll’ Roddy Alves :

Brazilian TV personality Rodrigo Alves, 36, known as the ‘Human Ken Doll’ has come out as transgender, saying ‘I have always felt like Barbie’. She told in an interview with ‘The Mirror’, she identifies as a woman and prefers to be called the pronouns “she” and “her.” adding that she prefers to be called Roddy now.

Rody Alves, 36, has previously drawn international media attention after spending half a million pounds on 76 plastic surgery procedures and for appearing on reality shows including Botched and Celebrity Big Brother.

Alves has reportedly spent more than $650,000 to achieve her Ken Doll-like look – including having four ribs removed, getting a “cat-eye” lift to slant her eyes and several nose surgeries and has now spent even more to achieve a D-cup bust and bigger hips and lips.

On January 5 Alves came out as a transgender woman in an interview with The Mirror, and said: “For the last few years I have been known as the human Ken doll, but actually I have always felt like Barbie.”

She continued: “It feels amazing to finally tell the world I’m a girl. I finally feel like the real me. Glamorous, beautiful and feminine. “For years I tried to live my life as a man. I had a fake six pack put in, I had fake muscles in my arms but I was lying to myself. “I’m a woman and have always had a feminine brain. Now my body matches my mind.”

On social media, Alves removed her old Instagram photos, announcing her transition and beginning again with new posts. which now exclusively features photos of Alves as Barbie, not Ken.

She wrote on Instagram.”In 2018 I had my first professional #photoshoot dressed as a woman,”

Alves also revealed that she will be going under the knife again to complete her transition. “I will have a penile inversion and my testicles will be removed. That will be the final step,” says the former flight attendant. “Before that I’m having silicone breast implants. I’ll be able to wear dresses that show my cleavage and look sexy. I’m very excited.”

Face feminization surgery, involving a forehead reshaping, the removal of Alves’ Adam’s apple and the shaving of her jawline, are also soon to come, she says.

Alves said it took a lot of courage to come out, and said that she had been “living as a woman behind closed doors” for three months.

She continued: “I love it and everything that comes with it. But I have been trolled and called a freak and a weirdo, so of course I am nervous about how people will react.

“A few years ago I could never have done this but it feels easier now. People are more aware of what being transgender means. I just hope people can accept me as a woman and don’t judge or ridicule me.”
