1. Benedetta (Biography, Drama)

Upcoming French and Dutch biographical drama starring Virginie Efira as Benedetta Carlini. The film is based on the 1986 non-fiction book Immodest Acts – The life of a lesbian nun in Renaissance Italy by Judith C. Brown.

It’s about a lesbian nun. A novice nun in the 17th century suffers from disturbing religious and erotic visions. Joins an Italian convent and begins a love affair with another woman.

2. Ammonite (Drama, Romance)

Upcoming British-Australian romantic drama film staring Kate Winslet as Mary and Saoirse Ronan as Charlotte. which tells the story of Mary Anning (English palaeontologist – Born: 21 May 1799, Died: 9 March 1847).

In 1800s England, When a wealthy visitor entrusts Mary ( Kate Winslet ) an infamous fossil hunter with the care of his wife Charlotte (Saoirse Ronan), Mary initially clashes with her unwelcome guest, but despite the distance between their social class and personalities, an intense bond begins to develop, compelling the two women to determine the true nature of their relationship.

3. Happiest Season (Comedy, Romance)

Happiest Season is an upcoming American romantic comedy film starring Kristen Stewart as Abby and Mackenzie Davis as Harper.

A young woman Abby plans to propose to her girlfriend Harper while at her family’s annual holiday party. but her plans are thrown off-course once when she discovers her partner hasn’t yet come out to her conservative parents.

4. The Prom (Musical, Comedy)

The Prom is an upcoming American musical comedy film, based on the Broadway musical of the same name and Scheduled for release in 2020, streaming on Netflix. Meryl Streep, James Corden, Nicole Kidman, Andrew Rannells, Awkwafina, Kerry Washington and Keegan-Michael Key are set to play main roles.

The Prom follows the story of Emma, a teenage girl in a close-minded town in Indiana who wants to attend her high school prom with her girlfriend. The school won’t let her, so a group of washed up Broadway actors decide to turn the event into a PR stunt to fix their careers and get Emma the prom she wanted.

5. 143 (Drama)

Based on lesbian fiction author Jade Winters first book of the same name, 143 promises to be a compelling drama.

Genevieve’s parents are still reeling from the news that their daughter is a lesbian and she will no longer be marrying Paul, the man who they believe is the ideal son-in-law. Rejected by her family and friends, Genevieve makes a new life with Rebecca, the woman she has fallen in love with and she has never been happier.

But things changes when Genevieve was attacked by someone. When Genevieve regains consciousness she can not remember the attack. Can not remember who she is. Can not remember the woman she loves.
